Most of the time, other than the photographs that we have that people have taken; it’s you know, someone saw it and it’s gone; Someone photographed it but did they tamper with it. TAPS is a very reputable source, and we hope that their investigations will lead to a more concrete evidence of a paranormal activity.
It seems to the staff at Darkrealm Labs, that Mrs. Moss is referencing photographs that Joe Nickell examined in 2001, which he states where enlarged copies of prints, color photo copies, and postcards, with no available negatives to examine[1]. Mrs. Moss’s statement may have been in reference to these photos. Darklream Labs opinion is that since these photos have had great doubt thrown upon them, she is attempting to prop up the stories of alleged paranormal activity by riding on, and defending TAPS’s reputation.

Esther Eby, Manager of the Myrtles Plantation, gives Jason and Grant a tour of the premises.
The first thing she points out is a pathway where people have reported seeing the tranparent figue of Chloe.
At least one eyewitness account would have been nice here. More would be better since they could be compared for similarities. Also, Chloe is the slave that does not seem to have existed.[2]

She then leads them in throught the front entrance of the house where she leads the to the mirror pictured left, and explains that the glass is about fourteen years old. She then tells about the top left portion of the mirror where people seem to capture images of what appears to be a coulpe of children’s faces, and how the staff is at a loss for an explanation.

As can be seen in this picture, the silver, which makes the mirror what it is, is in bad condition. There are many places the silver is corroding and affecting the reflective properties of the mirror.

This is the clip that was presented to the client in the reveal, which shows the lamp slowly moving.

There are several things that just don’t seem right when looking at the lamp footage and all the footage from that room. The first is that the lamp is being pulled by the cord. While this doesn’t indicate foul play it does lend to that presumption when taking in the scope of everything else, which consists of the direction of the cord, the position of the cord later, and the original position of the cord.
Looking at the still to the right we see that the cord leads from the lamp towards the wall, under the picture frame, then down to the floor and is plugged into a wall socket near the table.

This is far different from it’s position after the lamp has moved, and in the still to the right we can see that it leads around the back of the chair that Grant is sitting in. Now I know many have said that this still shows the cord in Grant’s hand and that’s proof that Grant pulled the cord, but we don’t see that. We see the cord going behind the chair, which makes us ask the question, “Why?”. If it was truly a spirit then why would it pull the cord to begin with, and if it did then why pull it around back of the chair instead of straight back in the direction the cord was already laid out. With where the cord is it looks more like someone routed the cord so that it could be pulled off camera, making it look like something paranormal did it.

Something that we took note of during their analysis was that Jason had seemed to shoot down the footage because the back of the lamp couldn’t be seen and that it looked like it was being pulled by the cord, which prompted him to ask Grant if he thought his foot or the leg of the chair got hooked in the cord. Grant’s response was that he didn’t think so, and even if that was the case then why would it move so slowly. Our thoughts as well, and because of the bad angle on the lamp, Jason and Grant head back to the location to check things out.
Upon returning they examine how the lace cloth bunches up when the lamp is pulled by the cord, unless it is pulled with cord up at an angle. Well, there’s another way to keep the lace cloth from bunching up, and it’s one I learned from my grandmother, which is to simply place another tablecloth under the lace one.
So, going back to the footage of them in the room we found some evidence of what we suspected. In the still to the right, we’ve highlighted where it looks like the lace cloth slightly overhangs the cloth underneath. If you notice, the portion below our yellow highlight line shows a lace patter, whereas the portion above that does not. It also looks like there’s a roll in the cloth along that line, much like you see when one cloth is over another.

To further exemplify the point we have put a still of the lace cloth in good lighting to the right. Notice the pattern, and that there are several areas where you can see through the cloth. This can only be seen in the still above it below our highlight line, which doesn’t make much sense unless something was obstructing those holes. Something such as another cloth.
Another thing to note is that when they showed this clip to Esther, she says she has never seen anything like it, and “I don’t know what to make of it.” Definitely not proof, but very interesting to say the least.

While it cannot be proven that the lamp moved because of foul play, it also cannot be proven that it being pulled was paranormal in nature. What can be shown is there are things that would come into play had it been pulled by someone sitting in the chair that Grant was in, or next to that chair, which is unlikely because of the amount of space in that area.
Because of all the tell tale evidence that does exist, it is our conclusion that the lamp was pulled by Grant.
